How To Train Your Dragon by TheJenjineer How To Train Your Dragon by TheJenjineer
A scene from the movie How To Train Your Dragon. :)
I'd write more, but it's nearly 1 in the morning and I'm tired...

Oh, and if you'd like to see some sketches I did of the characters, there's some in my scraps: [link]

Personally, I think it's more of a "showing off" face. This was the first time in the movie he actually managed to impress Astrid. :)

Aw. This is nice. I love how you made such a big sky. Really gives you a good fee for the picture. I think Astrid looks a bit too skinny and Hiccup's right arm could use a pinch of work. Otherwise, a very solid piece of work. 8D

Thanks, again I had trouble combining the movie's style with mine. Astrid and Hiccup are really skinny! :XD:

Beautiful work! :woohoo:

I'm rather curious about the movie, since I've only ever read the book...(I read the 1st and 2nd around the time when they first came out, since our local library had got a copies.)

Very nice. :)
I haven't seen the movie, but by judging from the adds, they should have got you to animate the whole thing!
Seriously, this is an amazing picture, it's drawn really well, the colors are superb and the shadings is great, if a bit soft! :D

Tell you what, next time round I'll do the characters if you'll take care of the dragons. ;)
I kinda wanted to go back to something soft after the days I spent with the last drawing, but I'm thinking for my next drawing, a similar scene, but with thick lines and bolder (but still bright) colors. I think I can draw a better dragon next time. :)

Sure. If you don't mind grumpy, kinda mean looking, and large, then I'll draw the dragons! ;p
I thought the dragon came out very nice in this picture. very cute and cuddly. I Especially liked the head though. As for the wings...hey, who can draw dragons wings nowadays?

...I wonder how the book is compared with the movie? You ever read the book? 3Fangs has, but that was a LONG time ago. Back when we were (for the most part) still going to the library for all our reading needs. :)

I'd love to get my hands on the book. Maybe with the movie out, I'll be able to find it around the bookstores. :)

I assume that means you haven't read it? If we happen to find multiple copies at the "3 Day Stampede", I'll see about mailing you one! :D

Okay, so I saw "How to Train Your Dragon" just the other night, and I must say I can see why you liked it so much. Truth be told, I thought of your work throughout the entire movie. It seemed like just the sort of thing you'd do...

Huh, that's strange, you're not the first person to say that. I wonder why that is. Not that I don't find it very flattering. :)

Well, it's very similar to your work in both style and content; not to mention it has a certain whimsy to it that's along the same vein. One of these days I fully expect to see a "Kingdom of Boredom" movie or something like that.
