Description
A drawing for one of the most amazing people I've met on DA,
It's the adorable Martysaur: [link] SO CUTE!
And that guy is a character from Stargate Atlantis, a great show leitor introduced me to. He's also the guy on Leitor's icon.
Textures used:
[link] and [link]
Next up, a drawing for ~2xTuffz , but maybe something more cartoony in between to make for a nice break.
They'll be sort of a process thingy in my scraps soon, in case anyone wants to see. I'll put up the link inna minute.
EDIT: here it is [link]

Wow, that is pretty darn radical!
I'll be honest, I've not yet watched any of the Stargate shows, but this seems to capture the air of light-science fiction the show uses.
I love the way you did the character here as well. And you dare to claim that you can't draw male characters! I can't say I know the character, but from a quick search online it really does bear a superb resemblance to the actor. As for the Martysaur...all I can say is "Daww!" 'cause it's so cute! It's got such a quirky little smile, and the way it's looking up is just beyond adorable. Even my rusty old heart melted.
The blue lighting is also pretty. It's used just well enough to not be overpowering. What I found most interesting is that often blue is used in situations to express a kind of sadness, but here the scene is whimsical and light. Yet it all works together well.
'Course, maybe that's because blue is kind of a sci-fi color, now that I think about it....
